Vermont Hard Cider Company, maker of Woodchuck Hard Cider, is constructing a new 100,000 square foot facility a half mile away from its present 62,000 square foot plant in Middlebury. The $30 million cidery opens in May 2014 and will include a post and beam visitor center offering tours, tastings and a gift shop. Vermont Hard Cider Company plans on more than doubling its current production of 4 million cases of cider. The new bottling line will handle an amazing 600 bottles per minute.
