I've been reading article after article on home staging recently. Looking at the before and after pictures, I can see that it does make a huge difference in how the home looks. Our office recently asked Ted Smith, CPA, an accountant in Ozark, MO, to come and speak with our real estate agents at our weekly office meeting. I showed a foreclosed home a few weeks ago and my client asked me what the stain was in the middle of the garage floor. As we got closer, we realized that "stain" was actually the perfect shape of a dog lying on its side and there was still fur attached to the floor. Someone had left the poor dog locked in the garage during the hottest part of summer, and he died and decomposed there on the garage floor.
