The Timonium Baja Fresh has reopened as of August 2014! A little known secret of mine is that I really enjoy Baja Fresh food. Though we have the other usual fast food southwest/mexican eateriers around (other good places like Chipotle, Qdoba and the like,) I really like the flavors, especially the salsa, at Baja Fresh. The Timonium Baja Fresh had been closed for a very long time -- all winter, spring and most of summer. I have come across this bunny a number of times over the past few weeks. He (or she) seems to have no fear of anyone. I took this photo with my phone, and I did not zoom in or crop the picture! As you can see, s/he is relaxing as s/he eats some straw -- and I am a mere foot away! S/he is a small bunny -- at first I thought s/he was a baby, but I haven't seen a mama nearby, and there is another small one in the same area who isn't afraid either! Driving to pick up my son from school, I realized it was 5 pm -- and there was still LIGHT BLUE SKY above! It wasn't dark! Suddenly my heart felt freer, and I got out of my car with a spring in my step, and had to take a photo. Longer days are on their way. Suddenly my motivation has returned! I hope yours has as well!

OK, yet another iPhone photo, and I really wish I had my *real* camera with me to capture this. The moon was so full and SO large in the sky -- for once, driving home wasn't DARK! :-) My almost 4 year old son kept saying that the moon was running as we drove. Driving to pick up my son each day, I have been seeing signs galore for the "Baltimore Party in the Park" this Sunday the 10th from 11-5. I have to admit my interest was piqued, and this evening I finally got the chance to look at the website for this party. What I discovered was something remarkable. The Nikki Perlow Foundation was founded to celebrate the life of an almost 22 year old young woman who died of an accidental overdose one month shy of her 22nd birthday in 2007.
