As a blogger, I'm NEVER, repeat, NEVER at a loss for topics. Sure, I'm a real estate broker and you want real estate information and or listings, right? But, it's important to KNOW about where you want to live, not just about WHAT you want to live in. One of my long list of topics is the exploding "Hollywood Goes Atlanta and Georgia" topic. Yes, some of you may have read from my good AR friend Julie Neerings about my recent Birthday experience. I have never been to the opera, and quite frankly, had no interest in it. I want to be able to understand what the people are singing about, etc. hence I can take Broadway plays for days! But it was time for ME to have some culture!

I still struggle as to what to write in my blogs, but in this case, I now can thank Mariana Wagner for giving me a whole list of things to Blog about..... Now this topic does relate to real estate....in one way or another! AIRPORTS! You see, we'd love to be land owners close to an airport that's planning an expansion (depending on what we get paid for our property) yet the last place we want to live next to is an airport. atlanta: From City to The Country!

Ok, as you saw in my last post, I've become "hooked" on City Living! In fact, I've lived in several major U.S. cities, including Houston, New Orleans, Miami, and New York before landing in Atlanta, where I have been for the past 16 years. Also in my last post, I mentioned growing up in Montana....which is where I am right now....so, here's an entirely different view of the world.... This is taken at what's left of our family ranch. As I sit here, 27 stories above the hustle and bustle of Midtown with that picture out my window (yep, just took it 10 minutes ago!) I remember back to my thoughts of how I could ever leave my suburban home, for "city life." Now let me explain something first....I grew up on a 200 acre ranch in Montana!!! You can't get much more room around you than that! But, my home in the "burbs" here, is only 7 miles or 10 minutes from Midtown, depending on which way you want to measure it. Ok Boys and Girls...or Ladies and Gentlemen.....I've entered the Sandbox.....I've got my shovel, a Tonka Dump Truck and I'm ready to play Blogging....so here it goes......... I attended a networking function last night. I learned about it on-line, in fact it's called NetParty. I've attended three of them, last night's being the lowest attendance I have seen. (Rain will do amazing things to attendance!) I enjoy networking events for several reasons....meeting new people, learning about other careers/businesses and of course hoping to find that potential Buyer or Seller Client that I can begin to develop a relationship with.
