midtown atlanta: Midtown Atlanta - The Value Is In Your Shoes!
- 02/11/14 08:50 PM
Now, that post title just might have you thinking for a moment. Shoes? What the heck is he talking about? When you purchase a condo, and live in Midtown Atlanta, there is one big value you probably don't think about until you are here. The ability to park your car and walk. Pretty much! Most likely, you'll have to use it to commute to and from work, but once you are home, that's it! Living in Midtown Atlanta, you can walk to almost everything you need. On the lower level of Plaza Midtown, is the Publix Market. Easy walk from most (6 comments)

Well, Midtown Atlanta Starbucks seem to be ready to serve you with FIVE locations to help you make it through the day! midtown atlanta: Speechless Sunday - A Midtown Photo Moment
- 02/12/11 11:58 PM
Yesterday, I was walking around Midtown Atlanta, building my photo library for my Community Pages on MyMidtownMojo. I'm also borrowing a Nikon D60 camera with a wide angle lens. It's certainly wakened my interest in a bigger, better camera for my blogging and real estate photography needs. So, while walking, I found this picture of interest, since I would not normally see that tree trunk when the leaves were out. Always interesting what we find to photograph.
One of the things I really like about living in Atlanta is how "wooded" the city is, considering we are a city. When you are in Midtown Atlanta on a high floor of a condo or office building, the view looks just like a forest, with the exception of a tall building here or there, or of course if you are looking at more urban part of the cityscape. One reason is a strict policy by the City of Atlanta on tree removal and replacement. The second is Trees (5 comments)
midtown atlanta: Midtown Atlanta Makeover Continues
- 09/07/10 02:35 PM
Midtown Atlanta Makeover Continues Improvements to Midtown Atlanta just keep on coming! As you'll recall, I posted a couple weeks back that some Midtown Atlanta Streets were getting a makeover. Crescent Street certainly was in need of some sprucing! But it seems that is not all that has been happening in Midtown. Most of these streetscape improvments are designed to enhance the pedestrian experience in Midtown Atlanta while giving Midtown its own idenity. I can say from personal experience that some of the improvements below are certainly a welcome addition to Midtown. Installation of new LED countdown ped-heads and traffic signals are (4 comments)
The new Piedmont Park Aquatic Center has opened for the season! This new facility is part of the $41.2 Million "Breaking New Ground" expansion of Piedmont Park. The old pool area was, well....OLD! But the new and improved Aquatic Center has all sorts of new features. Some of them include: • Lap lanes with recreational features • Beach entry with current channel for floating • Concessions • Pool level locker rooms and showers • Natural and structured shade on the pool deck • Landscaped deck • ADA accessibility The Pool is open Monday-Friday, (4 comments)
midtown atlanta: PAWS Atlanta AND E Cycling! Two Great Things!
- 08/13/10 07:45 AM
PAWS Atlanta AND E-cycling! Two Great Things! So, you know I love animals! I miss my Puppy everyday! So when I hear of people going to a pet store to BUY a new dog or cat, I just kinda cringe! There are so, so, so many good dogs and cats looking for a home. Luckily, PAWS Atlanta is a no-kill shelter. They keep 'em till they find a home! But as you can imagine, that costs money. Hey, them puppies they can eat! Here's a great opportunity to help out two causes....e-waste and PAWS Atlanta! Recycle your electronics and help PAWS (2 comments)

Midtown Atlanta Streets to Get Make Over Midtown Alliance announced construction will begin August 1 on Crescent Avenue in Midtown Atlanta to improve sidewalks, add lights, trees and parallel parking. Once that portion is completed, they will commence the 14th Street Streetscape from West Peachtree all the way to Piedmont Park. It was designed to enhance the pedestrian environment, improve public safety, and achieve a better balance between accommodating large volumes of vehicular traffic and creating a more livable urban environment. There is a reason that Midtown Atlanta GA is called the "heart of the arts." With the Woodruff Arts Center, High Museum, soon to arrive Museum of Modern Design, the Fabulous Fox Theatre and a couple other small playhouses, there is always something exciting to see and do! And tonight and tomorrow night are certainly no exception with gloATL's presentation, ROEM. I'll be there to check it out, and with any luck, capture a few photos!
Come see why we love to LIVE, WORK and PLAY (0 comments)
There are some people in this country that just have to much money. I mean, when I hear of the struggles of so many people with employment, keeping their home, and all the other challenges, it makes you stop and think. Today, I'm driving down 14th Street in Midtown Atlanta on my way to our office. I usually try to keep an eye out for what may, or may not have changed. (It's to hot to walk around during the day...altho I should be to get videos (10 comments)

midtown atlanta: Classic Car Commercials -- But This One is Modern!
- 06/13/10 05:27 AM
Classic Car Commercials -- But this is a modern one! Many were glued to the TV yesterday as the U.S. played the British in the World Cup. I didn't recall there being many commercials as we are use to with our U.S. sporting events. So, I was delighted when I picked up off of one of my Atlanta friends, Colin Ake, this commercial that aired during the game. It's just awesome. Enjoy! And Enjoy your Sunday!

midtown atlanta: Classic Car Commercials
- 06/08/10 09:30 AM
Classic Car Commercials When I was in high school, during lunch breaks I use to walk downtown in my home town of Livingston and walk through the Ford garage. I'd first check out the showroom, and then I go right back in the garage and walk around it's U-shape design. I can remember finding some of the new models tucked back in the corner of the garage, just waiting to be "introduced" instead of being out on the lot! I can remember the Ford Maverick. I remember my Dad drove a military car home once and it was a Ford Maverick. (5 comments)

Classic Car Commercials -- Lincoln Continental for 1989 Ever since I was a kid, I've liked, loved, and lusted over Lincolns. I've even owned two of them at different times, both of them 1979's. But I do have to say, the 85-89 Model years of the Lincoln Town Car. I would drive one today, in a heart beat if I could find a low mileage one! They ride like a dream, and in fact, if well taken care of, can last a long time. I remember riding in a car service in New York once, and the driver said the car (2 comments)
Midtown Atlanta is truly one of the best places to live in Atlanta if you are looking for the urban lifestyle. There is always something to do, a patio to hang out on and people watch, or in this case, a fun place to have lunch. Each year, The Midtown Alliance sponsors the Summer Lunch Box Series at the Arts District Plaza at 15th and Peachtree Streets. Held each Wednesday, 11:30am-2:00pm May through July, the food is provided by local restaurants. Each week, live entertainment is also part of this great (0 comments)
As you might have notice in one of the commercials I shared with you, Farrah Fawcett was the star of the commercial. (Was she famous then?) I certainly don't remember that part. As "engineering" improved, so did the amazing features on cars. Of course some of those features, came, went, and have since returned. Tonight's DOUBLE FEATURE first features a unique option on the Ford Fairlane. The second feature shows how engineering has a way of, well re-engineering itself!

There are many definitions, but let's just say anything inside I-285, or "Inside the Perimeter - ITP" is Intown Atlanta! There are many neighborhoods, from Buckhead, to Brookhaven, Morningside, Midtown, and Midtown West, to actual cities like Decatur, Chamblee, and Doraville.
I work with BOTH Buyers and Sellers. If you are looking for the best Internet Marketing, or a broker that knows the Intown Atlanta area, then you HAVE come to the right place!
