In news that shows the growing importance of Midtown Atlanta as a tech hub and innovation center location, financial giant BlackRock, Inc. (NYSE: BLK) will put a new innovation center in Atlanta. It's projected to employ 1,000 people. BlackRock's new Atlanta innovation hub could take up to 200,000 square feet of office space in Midtown Atlanta, where Georgia Institute of Technology (GATech) is located. Known as "Project Sky" in the development circles, BlackRock has tapped JLL to look for the space for the new center. Having once owned, and driven a Mercedes, I can tell you, they ARE quite an automobile. That's by baby, a 1986 420SEL and you seen many of them still on the road today!
