This Friday starting at around 5:30 at the city hall, the events start and I do say events because there is so much more than just the lighting of the holiday Christmas tree planned. (They can call it what they want, but to my family and I it is a Christmas tree)

There are events for all ages and at the end of the night there is even a presentation of "Its a wonderful life" This part does cost, but only $5 plus a new toy for "Tualatin Valley Fire Departments Toy and Joy drive" (But, I'm guessing it will be well worth … (6 comments)

Lately, I have to say the City of Beaverton has been on a role with giving back to the community, but today’s announcement might be their best yet! Today they announced that volunteer city staff members and community volunteers with help man 10 plots of the recently re-opened Kennedy Community Gardens. The food will be donated to the Oregon Food bank and other local services for the homeless.
Mayor Denny Doyle has recently made some major decisions that will help him get my vote this next time around. If he continues to help the community without the use of tax payer money and … (7 comments)

Once again I’m happy to report that the City of Beaverton is out to help its citizens who are in trouble. Not with money, but with education. I’m tired of the government thinking the way to solve all the problems with society is to throw money at it and think that will fix the underlying problem.
While at the library over the weekend, I see a sign on the wall that on Tuesday, March 3rd, from 6pm-8pm, at the Beaverton Library, they are holding a special event to help those who have lost their jobs during one of the worst unemployment periods … (6 comments)

Greenway Park in Beaverton is a very large, 85+acre, park in Beaverton, Oregon that is full of fun for everyone. Basketball courts,ADA approved trail access, Tennis Courts, Softball Fields, SoccerFields, Playground Equipment and Restrooms.
 

This park is large enough that you could spend all day and never runout of things to look at or view. With trails that follow the FannoCreek, and a large wildlife preserve, you can even sit all day and seewildlife that you normally don't see.
