condos: At what point do you have to say that your HOA is out of control? - 10/30/09 03:30 PM
At what point do you have to say that your HOA is out of control? I've heard arguments for and against HOAs and both arguments are good ones. The ones about keeping your yard neat and lawn mowed, no broken down cars all legit. But, sometimes an HOA can get out of control and what can you do to get them back in check if no one else wants to take the job.
One of my daughters friends lives in a condo complex that has over 500 units and over the past 5 years the HOA has managed to raise the HOA … (23 comments)

condos: Ok, Todd write about me and tell others to listen to you! - 07/02/08 03:21 AM
I tell my buyers that they need to tell me everything, even if it seems small, because if I don't know, it could cost them the house they are trying to buy. Well, this client has told me, "I've read enough of your posts to know that you are going to write about me and this situation, and please do, so someone else can learn from my mistake!"

Recently, I have been working with investors who do condo conversions. Broker Agent News will be featuring our company in their July issue. While looking at properties in the Hillsboro area I came across some plans that the city of Hillsboro just announced and boy did it get my investors going.
This article by the Oregonian says that they plan to take what was once considered rural and start to put in high rise condos. With Intel and Nike in the Area they think the growth of Hillsboro in the next 10 years could double its present population and with MAX (Our … (0 comments)

condos: Condo Ownership - A Great Start - 01/16/07 12:29 AM
Are you thinking about investing in Real Estate, but feel that it is just to expensive? A great way to get into real estate with a lot less expense is getting in to the condo market.
As prices continue to rise along with the interest rates. First time home buyers are priced out of the home market and turn to either renting or buy a condo, As a way to build equity for themselves.
How does this help you the investor? First if you have a condo, you have a great pool of renters, willing to help you pay your mortgage. Then … (1 comments)
