families: Beaverton Oregon Real Estate: Opening doors to home ownership - 10/13/11 09:01 AM
Beaverton Oregon Real Estate: Opening doors to home ownership. Many families are looking to get out of renting, but just need someone to open the door for them. That is where the Friendly Home Team can help.
There are many opportunities for families looking to own a home in Beaverton, Oregon. There are short sales, foreclosures, lease options, owner financing and even traditional sales, but, without some help to look at and understand these different options, those doors may remain closed for some forever.
As the team leader for the Friendly Home Team, we want to help you and your … (5 comments)

families: Trekaroo, the leads just keep coming in! - 04/22/10 02:44 AM
As many of you know just by looking at my logo, my target audience is families. I love children and the excitement I see in their eyes when they pick out their room in a home. But, finding families that are looking to buy or sell is always a challenge, so you need to find your target audience and find out where they are going.
This is where Trekaroo has been a goldmine for me. When I first wrote about Trekaroo, I was still fairly new to the site and just knew that it was a site for families to check out … (19 comments)

families: The house unloved - 03/03/09 03:25 AM

The day starts out like any other day. I wake up and start the MLS search for our list of buyers, hoping that perfect property shows up and you can be their hero. As I take a drink of my hot cocoa, I see it. The right home at the right price and I put the hot cocoa down knowing I won’t return to it, the day has now taken a new direction.
I call my buyers and tell them I have found their dream home and it is within their price range. Be dressed and be ready, I’ll be over in thirty … (13 comments)

families: The number one reason I see for failure in buying a first home is… - 01/22/09 03:37 AM
There are many reasons people call and tell me they want to start to look for their first home. Many reasons include that they are expecting, they are getting married, their rent is going up, prices are falling, or interest rates are low. There are many great reasons to buy a home and each person seems to have their own.
But, the one thing I find in common with the ones that end up not buying versus the ones that do buy is that the ones who buy do what it takes to purchase that home. They have a goal and that … (4 comments)

families: The day my dad turned 18… - 12/18/08 02:21 PM

To many of my subscribers, you know that I talk to my mom and dad on the phone everyday and see them at least three to four times a week. My dad truly is my best friend and we do a lot of things together and we always have fun doing it.
But, the day my dad turned 18 was today! Now, like me, his maturity level is still set on 12, but to me and the rest of my family, today is my dad's 18th birthday. We couldn't be happier to celebrate it with him, because we almost didn't get that … (14 comments)

families: I felt the urge to steal from an REO today - 11/24/08 02:23 AM
Please don't judge me too harshly until you read the whole post. I didn't do it, but I still have an urge to go back and steal from this REO for the greater good. You see I am married with three kids. I've had tough times in my life and if you listen to the news everyday, you would think the banks were eating soup and sandwiches every night with the shortage they have. (I don't consider a Twenty Two Million dollar bonus a shortage, for the record.)
But as we walked in to this vacant REO property today, it looked like … (14 comments)

families: Can we bring our kids? - 10/04/08 04:21 AM
This is a question I got from a buyer yesterday and as a person with 3 kids of my own, ranging from ages 4 to 10, I couldn't believe I was being asked this question. I personally think this is a question that I shouldn't have to be asked. Without kids, we don't have a future and I want them to learn about life and the home buying process.
I love kids and I told them I would send some of my past posts about kids on appointments to look at homes and how sometimes the biggest joy I get out … (22 comments)

families: All is fair in love and war – But this is real estate, right? - 09/21/08 05:30 PM
We have all seen or heard of an agent that does something that we find completely outrageous and we think they should have their license revoked for it, haven't we? But, what makes us different than that person when we try to market our homes to sell faster than the other guy's houses?
Are we out make a quick buck or are we really out there for our buyers and sellers like we are supposed to be? I love my career choice and I can't imagine me doing anything else. But because I love my career, does it make it alright to … (12 comments)

families: O.M.S.I. (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) - Fun for all - 03/14/07 10:14 AM
What a learning experience for young and old alike. TOUCH, FEEL, PLAY and INVENT. That is just the stuff for the adults (LOL)
This interactive museum features an Apollo lander that you can sit in and realize how cramp these guys really were on their trip to outer space. Learn to make airplanes and have competitions to see who makes the most aerodynamic one. I lost this last time to my 8 year old daughter. That hurt a little bit!
