Oregon has seen some recent activity in new home construction that to say the least is encouraging, but in order to make a profit and no go bankrupt like so many builders have in the past 2 years you need to be smart! Know your numbers is the first thing I can suggest and second is know the area and what is going on in that area. For me personally as someone who goes out of my way to market my properties, I didn’t need a big company, the fact is it was a hindrance. If think the answer is “yes” or your agent told you that it is going to be harder now that the $8,000 tax credit is gone, then you need to think again. It is business as usual if you have a home that is show ready and priced right. I can tell you that there are just as many buyers out there today as there were last month all looking for homes. I know you have heard it before, everyone says real estate is all about the location. But, when it comes to selling your home, what agent are you using? What is their location? How visible are they? What is their location? (Not physically, but on the internet.) In today's market, it isn't all about where the home is located, although that does help, its also about where your agent is. If you have never been on a listing appointment for an expired listing, then let me tell you when you finally do, you are in for a real treat. The one thing I can tell you about your appointment is that the seller wants to sell.
