work: You real estate agents have it so easy! - 01/21/12 04:40 AM
“You real estate agents have it so easy” that is what I heard from someone the other day. I asked them what made them say that?Theysaid “You work 5-10 hours a week and make hundreds of thousands of dollars, now don’t tell me that isn’t easy”
WOAH THERE! You think I work 5-10 hours a week? Now, thereis your first mistake. Yes, every night I have made the decision tohave dinner with my family at 5:30 and yes I do go to the park with my kids often for blogs and yes, I do spend a lot of time at baseball practices … (60 comments)

work: Winning isn’t everything, but wanting to play is! - 03/04/10 04:07 PM
I’ve coached baseball and softball for at least 5 years now and one thing I’m not afraid to say is I like to win. But, it doesn’t and shouldn’t be at all cost, it needs to be fun, but I do want to make sure my players aren’t injured and they play as a team.
What sports are all about is teaching kids to learn to be part of a team and working together to reach a common goal of winning. Now if you play together, have fun and still lose, then I really don’t care, you tried and that is all … (8 comments)

work: I’m working to get my short sales sold, are you? - 03/04/10 12:37 PM
Many agents I’ve talked to lately only take short sales toget buyers leads and I think this is a very wrong way to approach short sales. When you go in with an attitude that it won’t close, guess what, it won’t. I’m so sure that my short sales are going to close that even my vendors onmy short sales are willing to wait on payments on certain fixes.

I know my sellers can’t pay and I know my homes need to sell if I want to make money, so sometimes I take money out of my own pocket to do things like staging … (8 comments)

work: I love a good compliment, but I didn’t mean to get you in trouble - 02/16/09 03:23 PM
I got a call today from a client that said she was called in to her boss's office because of me! What? How could I get you in trouble? I've never met your boss. I'm sure he is a nice guy, but you bought the house 5 months ago. 6 months ago I could have understood you getting called in with all the phone calls, e-mails, and faxes you received from me during that time... But, now, how could I possibly be getting you in trouble with your boss?
Well, it seems that she loves reading my posts so much that she … (23 comments)

work: What is your battery level? - 10/29/07 07:19 PM
Almost everything we use requires batteries to keep them going and you are no different. Your body requires content energy to keep going, just like your cell phone or car. If you don't recharge those batteries they will slow down and become useless. The same can happen to you, so recharge your batteries.
I'll let you in on a little secret that a psychology teacher taught me in high school, and I've been doing ever since. Everyday, just when my body starts to slow down, around 1pm, instead of drinking coffee, I head to the floor and take a 15 minute power … (23 comments)
