On October 5th the "Swings for Homes" golf tournament will be held on Pinehurst No. 8 to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

The U.S. Kids Golf World Championships and World Cup will begin Aug. 4th in Pinehurst and play will take place on a number of area golf courses.
This is a picture of Pinehurst No. 4 which will host the boys age 12 group during the competition. This is arguably Pinehurst's most lovely golf course especially in the spring when the azaleas are in bloom.

Today in Pinehurst is the start of the U.S. Kids Golf Teen World Championships. The finals will be held  on Sunday, July 31 on the famous Pinehurst No. 2 golf course.
According to the US Kids Golf website there are over 300 kids ages 13-18 from the US and 30 other countries who qualify and participate in this event. Qualification for the event depends on Local, regional and championship qualifying  tournaments played or having previously played in the World Championships.

While shopping for homes in Pinehurst two years ago this couple really wanted a 3 car garage or a 2 car plus a golf cart garage. We looked at lots of homes with 2 garages and homes with 3 car garages. The also originally wanted golf front - after all we are in Pinehurst.

Recently I was showing a home on the famous Pinehurst No. 2 golf course and decided to walk up the hill to take a quick video. Recently opened to the public for play in the Pinehurst area is a new golf club called The Dormie Club.
Construction of The Dormie Club began towards the end of the last decade just a few miles from the Village of Pinehurst. This club is intended to be a private club with two types of memberships and by invitation only. These memberships are residential and non-residential memberships.
