nc: Pinehurst NC Real Estate Sales for 2010 - 01/09/11 12:46 AM
Pinehurst NC Real Estate Sales for 2010 saw mild improvement over 2009.

The increase in sales was just over 6% from 2009 and most of the sales came in the first half of the year due to the Government credit which expired as of June 30, 2010.
One of the interesting statistics from 2010 was how flat Pinehurst area sales were from August until December.

As you can see the last six months was fairly flat when in prior years the same time period showed more fluctuations from month to month in gross residential sales.
As no one can … (2 comments)

Now, I can't guarantee that you won't see snow like this, but it is highly unlikely. We do have winter, but nearly as long, or as cold as many parts of the northeast, and midwest.
Last year I was picking my son up from college for the holidays, and I was staying at a friends in NJ. The day after I got my son, this is what I woke up to.  We also got stuck for a night in Virginia because the snow and ice … (2 comments)

nc: Getting an inspection before listing your home. - 10/26/10 04:05 AM
I think that sellers should seriously consider getting a home inspection prior to listing their home. It shows prospective buyers that they isn't a hidden defect in the house that the seller is trying to hide.
Sellers should be aware that buyers might and in some cases should get their own inspection before closing on the house.  The protects the buyer because, at least in NC, recourse for a mistake in the inspection is only available to those who requested and paid for that inspection.

nc: Another reason to consider North Carolina - 10/21/10 01:56 AM

While not know for jobs, Pinehurst is expected to see growth from the expansion of the nearby army base, Fort Bragg. Southern Pines real estate has seen the most impact from this expansion as its values have not seen the decline as other areas have with the current … (0 comments)

nc: Pictures please - 09/01/10 01:47 AM
I stay in touch with most of my buyer clients via email as far as updates on new listings.  It is surprising to me in these days of digital photography that some listing agents wait several days to post pictures.  There are even some agents who will only post a picture of the front of the house.  Even more surprising is when I see a high end home (above $500,000 which is high for Pinehurst, NC) that never post more than 4 or 5 photos.  These agents are doing a disservice to there clients as buyers now want to see lots of … (4 comments)
