As we close out the year of 2008 many say that it was a terrible year for real estate, the stock market, and jobs. You may be pleasantly surprised how this simple tool can work to gain you name exposure. I live in the land of cows and plows in picturesque Green County Wisconsin. These ladies are truly my neighbors. The road I live on has four active dairy farms on just about a 2 mile stretch. These ladies are both Holsteins (the black & white cows)and Brown Swiss. The Brown Swiss is where we get the chocolate milk from. In my youth we actually rode a very gentel cow named Bossy. In the busyness of our adult lives it's great to have a reminder every now and again that life isn't just about closing the next deal. This photo of two of my boys having a blast on their improvised sled, reminded me of a scene from the movie "It's a Wonderful Life". This in turn made me think how very blessed I am to have a beautiful wife of 26 years and six fantastic children, a roof over our heads and food on the table. Above is Re/Max Towne Square Realty’s Christmas tree for the Festival of Trees, an annual event of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce. This fund raising event raises support for area non-profit organizations. The program starts at 6 pm on Saturday December 6 at the Ludlow Mansion. Some people when they look at this picture they see a field full of bales. Others see the large open land covered with the years first snowfall. When I saw this field it reminded me of the real estate market. You see some would point out the foreclosures, the troubled financial institutions, and faltering stock market, represented by the hay bales in this photo. Here is that great fall picture that has come and gone from my neighborhood. Seasons is one of the things I love about this part of the country.
