realtor: Do you highlight all the features of your property? - 02/26/09 06:16 AM

Do you highlight all the features of your property? This is a photo of the front of my home. I became the owner of water front property, well for a day as the winter snows melted. But this event reminded me that we need to look at our properties with a fresh look. Sometimes we miss or take for granted some special features our property has to offer a prospective client. It may be built-in cabinets in a garage, a handy 1st floor laundry with a fold-out ironing board, or even that the kitchen island has wheels on it so … (2 comments)

realtor: It's a bird, It's a plane, No It's SUPER Marketer - 02/11/09 04:30 AM
It's a bird , It's a plane, It's a SUPER-marketing in a big way. In these tough times now is not the time to pull in and hunker down, but to expand and grow. A time to use your strengths and get out there and show your marketplace why you should be there agent. When I saw this blimp fly over my office it reminded me of that fact. We need to be creative, inovative, and diligent. I strongly beleive that if we focus on customer service we will succeed 2009 and beyond. So pull out all the stops and be … (2 comments)

realtor: This may help Buyers get back out Looking - 02/06/09 04:25 AM
Here is a repost that was sent to me from one of my local bankers. Take a look
This could help get the buyers back out looking and buying.
Last night, the Senate added a significant homebuyer tax credit to the housing stimulus plan.  Here are the key elements of the credit:
 *  The tax credit is for the amount of $15,000 or 10% of the purchase price (whichever is less), with the option to utilize all in one year or spread out over two years.  The credit does not have to be paid back.
 *  The tax credit … (1 comments)

realtor: The Snow Day was a Great Day - 12/10/08 03:23 AM

Thanks for all the comments about the Snow Day. The kids and I finished the day sledding down our driveway well into the evening and playing "king of the hill". This old guy still rules the hill. Many an attempt was made to take me off the top of the snow castle but to no avail. Any of you agents in the sunshine state right after Christmas please send us in the land of the frozen chosen an early spring.
The real estate market is looking to be not for the faint of heart if you have any great marketing … (1 comments)

realtor: Let it Snow - 12/03/08 11:24 AM

As the song goes "Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow! About 6" inches of snow fell today by my home in rural Brodhead Wisconsin. If you look closely down the path, there in the slightly obscured background is my home. If you are thinking of selling your home but you hesitate making that decision,because of the all the tihngs that distract and obscure you, like it's the wrong time of the year or no one is buying. Let me reassure you that homes are moving even in December. Please give me a call and let me show you how … (1 comments)

realtor: What do you see? - 11/24/08 04:05 AM

Some people when they look at this picture they see a field full of bales. Others see the large open land covered with the years first snowfall.
When I saw this field it reminded me of the real estate market. You see some would point out the foreclosures, the troubled financial institutions, and faltering stock market, represented by the hay bales in this photo.
I see and I hope you see the large open land covered by the thin snow as the even greater opportunity hidden under the surface for buyers to get the home of their dreams. With a … (1 comments)
