The daily grind of a career in real estate can be exhausting. Your clients and vendors needs (and sometimes demands) may seem never ending. The hustle and bustle of real estate starts at the listing or home buying purchase and doesn't end with each transaction until it closes. You might say a career choice in real estate is truly suited for a few determined souls. I was thinking about this topic last week when I was finishing up my goal sheet for 2010. I personally have two real estate purchases I am working toward that effect my immediate goals for 2010. One is to purchase a single family residence in Lake Geneva within the next 3 years. The second is to work toward purchasing my dream real estate property, a log cabin, within the next 10-15 years, close to the time that I plan to put my business up for sale. Am I (72 comments)

In August, I wrote a post, "You can become the Brock Lesnar of real estate" in which I talked about a real estate agent who shifted his business from selling regular resales to REO's and Foreclosures. The shift resulted in his survival as a real estate agent in his local market. A few years ago many real estate agents were turning away business from buyers, "I can't (18 comments)

Watching the news yesterday, they are anticipating gas costs to increase in May to no less than $4/gallon. No big surprise there. So I was wondering a question I posed on my corporate blog to real estate buyers and sellers. What up front costs should a real estate consumer incur to sell or buy a house? In today's real estate market, there are many costs that a real estate agent incurs when they are listing a house for a seller or helping a buyer find the right place to call home. These costs diminish the profit of a real estate (15 comments)
