The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over expecting a different result. I suppose I have done it again. I really expected BofA to be kinder and gentler per their latest advertising spin. I want to believe that they have pulled their head out and are listening to the clients and agents - after all - it's better for their bottom line. Unfortunately, they proved that, once again, they are the scorpion - professing their innocence profusely then stinging the victim to death. When the implosion started it was folks that could not afford a home, should not own a home and did not own a home for long. There was an undercurrent of deceit toward the broker and wrath was taken out on the lender in the form of “missing kitchens”, appliances in the pool, and copper mining. These days it’s all JOBS. Lack of, underemployment and unemployment. The last two ‘relocation agreements’ that I have done have been for 1) an independent contractor without enough work. Got another BofA short sale this week. I know. I said never again but this is a family friend. He hasn't made a payment in 19 months and BofA just filed the NOD. So, now I have 90 days plus 21 to get this thing into contract and sold. BofA still holds my all time record for LONGEST AND MOST PAINFUL short sale at 36 weeks! I could have had a child during that time. But, we closed and my client is eternally grateful. Which is why I got in this business to begin with. I really enjoy making the impossible … (1 comments)

It's funny how the front end of Bank of America, originally Bank of Italy, is all pretty customer service - we love you we want you - then on the back end they employ folks that make loan sharks look generous! I have been negotiating a short sale for my clients for 5 months. They are good people, they lost their income and are trying to sell their house to make things right.
