I will admit that I have not had a real moose sighting in Red Lodge, Montana since my moose chase back in October 2009. I did go back to my photos from that day and pulled the following photo to share with you for Moose Monday. Moose be nice to be a Bull Moose on Moose Monday! :)

Moose Monday - Bull Moose in the Backyard - Red Lodge, Montana Weren't the inflatable giant flying moose interesting last night at the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics closing ceremonies? A big round of applause to all the athletes of the word that participated and made these games a success. It was nice to see them relaxed and enjoying the closing ceremonies with most of them wearing foam moose antlers. My Moose-ly Positive Experience in Red Lodge, Montana The following post is the continuation of: Moose Monday - Going on a Moose Chase in Red Lodge, Montana After pausing and looking towards me, the bull moose decided to run on Ski Run Road and he picked up lots of speed! This bull moose was spotted just south of Red Lodge, Montana on the morning of October 6, 2009. I got alerted to his presence by my dogs who kept on barking. He was standing there (big and tall) and I could not believe his sheer size and the contrast of his figure with the snow (hard to miss seeing him once you have your head turned in the right direction!). Here is a Bull Moose which I photographed in Red Lodge, Montana in October 2008. He was in a hurry but I am glad I was quick enough to snap the photo of him above. This photo was cropped to get the picture for the new group on ActiveRain: Moose Monday. Isn't he a good looking bull moose from Red Lodge?

Happy Moose Monday from Red Lodge, Montana! This is the follow-up post from last week's: Moose Monday - Bull Moose on the Run in Red Lodge The following photo will give you a better idea of the size of the Bull Moose. Just remember they are wild animals and you can hopefully tell from the photo why it is recommended to not get too near any of them. I captured the photo with the zoom feature of my digital camera.

Bull Moose on the Run in Red Lodge The following is the first photo of a bull moose to make it into my Moose Monday from Montana. I took this photo in October 2008. This bull moose was caught running in the Grizzly Peak Mountain Homes subdivision, in beautiful Red Lodge, Montana. I think he was camera shy. In the background is Mount Maurice. Next week, I will share a more close-up photo of this bull moose.
