If you are a first-time home buyer and want to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit, this may be your last chance.The deadline to take advantage of this credit is before December 1, 2009.What does this mean to first-time home buyers? Well, it takes about 30-60 days to close on a home barring any issues that may arise. It’s now September 17, 2009. Many home buyers are not aware that in addition to their down payment, they will also need money for closing costs and are very shocked when they find out just how much they will need in order to settle on their home.
