brainerd area home staging company: Central Mn Vietnam War Memorial - 07/29/10 05:52 PM

Have we forgotten those who served and sacrified in the Vietnam War and were so unsupported by many in the US along with celebrities who sacrificed nothing!

Central Mn Vietnam War Memorial
In Eastman Park at Lake George downtown St Cloud stands the Central Minnesota Vietnam War Memorial. Carved in granite, an American soldier and South Vietnamese soldier represent the 2 countries who fought side by side during the war, and above their heads flies their countries flags.

brainerd area home staging company: Water in Fargo now at 41 feet & Cresting - 03/27/09 09:13 AM
See photos of the sandbagging efforts and view the Fargo/Moorhead flood area
Despite everyone's best efforts to keep up with the rising waters, in some areas there is already dike failure and subsequent flooding. The volunteers are growing weary but fresh replacements are still coming in. With the evacuations , there will be less time spend on rescue efforts as there will be less to rescue.  There will always be those who stay in their homes risking their lives and those of their rescuers. No one knows exactly how long the waters will keep rising and how long the crest will … (15 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: Oh, Where Did The Fall Go? - 11/22/08 06:18 AM
Fall was here, briefly and it was splendiforous. I did enjoy it while it lasted. Now it is over! With temperaures in the single digits and the wind howling - I am greatly missing the Fall.
Summer, I remember and although it had a cold rainy start - it was eventually Summer. Fall hardly was.  Like a briefly glowing candle - it flickered and then went out. Oh, where did the Fall go?

brainerd area home staging company: Staging Is Fashionable - 11/02/08 02:49 PM

                                                        Staging is Fashionable
This is not an article on how cool and hip staging is, but we stagers do think that.
Rather I am focusing on the aspect of properly dressing a home. In the world of fashion for women, often the basic black cocktail length dress is touted as the ultimate in versatility. A basic well tailored men’s suit in a neutral color would fulfill the same role for men.  With the basic piece such as the black dress, the addition of jewelry, heels, a crop jacket and a purse would form a complete outfit. … (21 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: The Apple Pie House - 10/26/08 10:34 AM
Most buyers are looking for a well-maintained house in apple pie order. They will be looking to buy as much house as they can get and still leave a little dough for changes to adapt things to their personal taste.  That doesn't mean that they will be looking to dive right into major home improvements, because they won't. The down payment on your home will take most of their savings.  After the monthly mortgage payments, taxes and insurance, there is no room in their budget for major repairs. Many buyers today will not consider a house that needs remodeling and … (13 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: The Deliverer - of Change? - 10/23/08 08:25 AM
Barack Hussein Obama has been "delivered to us" (in the words of MSNBC's Chris Matthews) as a kind of political savior who will end our national divisions, bind up our historical wounds, and infuse us with "hope" by delivering "change."
People desperate for "change" will do regrettable things. The people of Russia wanted change from the Romanov Czars. The people of Germany wanted change from the mess of the Weimar Republic -
they ended up with Hitler.
The people of Russia wanted change from the Romanov Czars -
they got Lenin and Communism.

The people of Cuba wanted … (5 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: Art is What You Make Others See. - 10/13/08 10:06 AM
Staging is an art form. In viewing a prospective house to purchase, only ten percent of buyers can see what it could be. The other ninety percent can only see what is there. When a stager is able to convey how a family could live in the house - it is art. When a stager is able to demonstrate to others a lifestyle, cozy family times around the fireplace or reading a favorite book on the deck in the lazy days of summer - we have art. Can anyone create art - of course! Are some masterpieces and others quite elementary … (10 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: 39 Lies and Counting - 10/13/08 08:11 AM
Terry Anderson, an African-American talk show host in Los Angeles, provides a list of 39 things Democrat presidential hopeful Barack Obama claims are facts, but further investigation shows they are not exactly correct. You don't need to dig too far on Obama to find some very interesting things.     Senator Obama is easily sailing through his campaign without media scrutiny, while reporters rummage through Gov. Sarah Palin's past in order to discover anything that may hurt her politically. First we started with the idea that Sarah was not the mother of the Down Syndrome child, but that her daughter was.  … (24 comments)

brainerd area home staging company: Gelato in Minnesota? Ya Betcha! - 08/14/08 11:09 AM
Minnesota is a dairy state and we all know the best places to get a scoop or a sundae. But gelato, you have to go to Italy, don't you? Minneapolitans are getting acquainted with the chilly treat, thanks to three enterprising brothers - Tim, Todd and Mike Pellezzer.  They opened two Italian scoop shops in Minneapolis named Sebastian Joe's in honor of their grandfather who practiced the art form in the Old Country.
There are many new flavors that Grandpa Joe never tried : banana yogurt, grapefruit-Campari sorbet and the favorite of most,  Pavarotti.  The Pavarotti mixes gourmet ice … (16 comments)

What to do with your stuff:
Have a garage sale.  Sometimes a fun social event trading your stuff for pennies.  I love going to them but will not be  hosting one myself.  Been there and not doing that again!
