A California dream researcher has proven something that wouldn’t surprise Mozart or Keith Richards. It’s that dreaming is a great way to solve creative problems. Dr. Sara Mednick, a sleep psychologist at the University of California, San Diego, found that subjects who, between morning and afternoon word-game sessions, took a nap that included a period of lively dreaming called REM sleep, improved their later scores by 40%. I learned more than how to stuff a turkey or properly dice an onion in my mother's kitchen She hardly ever let me cook (her kitchen), but she let me watch and she talked. She would tell me where this recipe came from and on what special occasion it would have been served. She talked about her mother and how she did things. She talked - I listened and watched. HAFA is another one of those terms thrown about in Short Sale discussions and pronounced Hoffa or Halfa. It has not been the most successful of the Short Sale program attempts but is far more successful than the loan modification programs. No matter how you choose to pronounce it, the letters stand for Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternative. HAFA sets a structured time frame for the Short Sale process but does not always hit their own goals.
