The day starts out taking are of a well pump for one of the tenants. The well company was dispatched and it appears while the tenants have been gone 2 weeks on vacation, lightening struck the well pump. Central Florida is the lightening capital of Florida, and Florida is the lightening capital of the United States. We are located smack in the middle of Lightening Alley, Tampa to Titusville. Saturday, the day of rest. Only a 12 hour day if blogging doesn't count. Open House, Then photos and enter a new listing. A gift from another broker. Then collect the backup from two potential tenants to fill my two vacant properties. I didn't have time today to show my two rentals if they were still truly vacant. It is always such a pleasure to have the credit, employment, and criminal background checks come back desirable. Job well done, the landlords won't have extended vacancy. A few days have passed. Maybe the title of this post should be "A Brokers Week in Real Estate and Property Management." Staffing has been an issue this week. Add one, lose one. The loss was an investment of one month of training and time. That hurts, and I will never get that back. Fifteen minutes after I said goodbye, a new hire walked in with the energy that sparked my flame and forget about what happen previously. Another inspection of a home stripped of appliances and poor DIY projects. Like putting real wood flooring over beautiful travertine tile and not finishing the edges. Ridicules half ass work. Why spend the money to begin with? Here's a thought, replace the flooring in the 3 bedrooms that have concrete flooring. But, if it has been foreclosed on, money was an issue. I got it, instead of the DIY job, pay the mortgage. Novel concept. Note, when you bought the house, there were appliances in it. They are included in the mortgage. Taking them out is stealing.
