Did You Know March 27 is NATIONAL JOE DAY? It's a great day to enjoy a cup of “joe” with all of your friends named Joe, Jolene, Jo, Josephine, Joette, Joey, Joan, Joseph, Josephine, Josie, Johanna, Joann, Jodie, Joanna, or any other Joe you know today on March 27th, National Joe Day. Magic Words=Better Conversations, "I Know You're Busy, So I'll Be Brief" by Silicon Valley REALTOR Michelle Carr Crowe How can one ensure a quick communication rather than a lengthy, meandering chatfest? It's effectively established by using a simple "magic words" phrase (as learned from Joe Stumpf's By Referral Only program). When the party answers, start with simple one-name identifiers for the client, then oneself, followed by the phrase "I Know You're Busy,so I'll Be Brief." The conversation would sound like this. Hobbs Herder Gateway Pros, Cons & Experiences by Michelle Carr Crowe, Silicon Valley guide and San Jose real estate agent I am signed up for the San Francisco, Calif. Hobbs Herder Gateway 3-day seminar. I'd love to hear other ActiveRain professionals opinions on the pros, cons, and any personal experiences with them and their system(s). I am aware they have a "personal marketing program" that costs about $10K. Another colleague from By Referral Only said he did it, by the letter and it did not have the promised results. This seminar is focused on branding especially throughout social media. I'd love to hear your

- 02/02/12 10:17 AM
by Michelle Carr-Crowe, Cupertino real estate agent selling homes in San Jose Yesterday I attended Joe Stumpf's By Referral Only Real Estate Marketing Seminar at the Doubletree Hilton in San Jose. If you've ever attended one of Joe's seminars you know watching him as a master of language and communication is well worth the time invested. One of the themes was to learn "What I Didn't Know That I Didn't Know" and write about the insight, then apply it...so we can grow. For me today, there were two insights (I'll share the other tomorrow). One was the power of sharing the truth of my life,

Is Your Agent Part of the 25% or 75%? by Michelle Carr-Crowe, San Jose Saratoga Cupertino home selling expert I'll tell you upfront, this is a trick question. Most people, especially in Silicon Valley, have heard that a minority of any given group are responsible for the majority of the business. While studying at San Jose State University many years back, our business professors taught it to us as the Law of Thirds. In any organization, roughly 1/3 do absolutely nothing, 1/3 do a little bit and 1/3 do most of the work-whether it's serving in ministry, fundraising, or working in
