On the positive side:
Making sure all foreclosure paperwork and procedures have been executed according to the law is a good thing.

Did San Jose home values just increase by 20%?
According to the mysterious investor at Bank of America who's countering our San Jose home short sale, house values in this neighborhood must have just dramatically increased by 20%...and I somehow missed it. Last I checked Zillow and Trulia both showed San Jose overall continued to show decreasing values, although the rate of decrease has slowed.
