It's called "CONTENT MARKETING"...

Empty Flyer Box - Make sure the flyer box is EMPTY only when you have an Open House Event! Yes... I said EMPTY! As in NO FLYERS IN THE BOX... real estate flyer templates: Turn-Key Flyer Real Estate Listing Templates... Yes, They're That Easy - 09/29/12 02:26 AM

Hi ActiveRainers, my name is Reuben Fine. I've been a member of ActiveRain since around 2009. I've worked in real estate for over 10 years, starting off as an marketing assistant and later moving into a Marketing Director role for a large National Brokerage firm. Graphics and design come natural and easy to me, but it's not the case for the majority of agents I worked with. At most, MS Word clipart was the extent of a real estate agents' graphic abilities!... I wanted to change that. I tried hosting graphic design workshops and one-on-one training. I even attempted to … (10 comments)

real estate flyer templates: The Nosey Neighbor - 09/05/12 07:57 AM

Last week my wife and I decided to stop into an open house, we were nicely greeted by the agent and proceeded to walk through the home. Down the hall we were confronted by the next door neighbor, a nice sweet elderly lady,  who struck up a conversation with my wife (I decided to continue and tour the home)... doesn't seem so bad until you realized that 45 minutes later we left the home and my wife had only seen the hallway.
My wife isn't one to be rude and had said the nieghbor was lonely and just wanted to … (2 comments)

Naturally, we're calling them the DREAMHOME set.
This set will included approximately 10 template layouts. All these layouts are almost identical to our custom templates we use for the magazines; and a few … (0 comments)

real estate flyer templates: "Highlight" Option in Facebook For More Traffic! - 05/18/12 05:47 AM
Ever wonder how to spice up your facebook page timeline to Maximize traffic and clicks? One big trick is to use the "highlight" option within your post.
Its' super easy, just hit highlight... some minor adjustsments might be necessary, but it's easy enough for the low-tech agent.
The Highlight option expands your post to "full-width" view, basically highlighting the image, post, or video. Its a great way to draw attention to the most important post and the one you'd want people click on!
Here's a simple step by step that I just made to highlight my lastest listing flyer:

real estate flyer templates: Who's Your Spell Checker? - 05/18/12 04:51 AM
There's nothing worse than picking up a real estate flyer only to notice the agent misspelled the headline!!! How embarrassing... Without disclosing any names I picked up this flyer earlier this week:

We can'y only rely on the spell-checker; it's best practice to have a colleague, spouse, or friend read over your flyer or marketing...
Minor mistakes like this can really cost you a TON of money in addition to the embarrasment. Imagine if you printed 200+ copies??? OUCH!
If you're one of those agents that "outsource" your work, we'll you're not in the clear either!!!! Many outsourced … (3 comments)

real estate flyer templates: Remembering How To Sell - 05/15/12 02:02 AM
Like any skill or craft I've always found it helpful to remind myself and practice the basics. Juggling 1000 things at once I've found myself cutting corners, especially in my sales and marketing process... months go by and I wonder why business isn't as good as it used to be last year???
"Oh, well it's because of the economy..." <-- it's only an excuse!
Corner cutting starts with simply not "smiling" when on the phone or in person, then it moves into skipping the simple sales or presentation steps when previewing properties or during listing presentations. Cutting corners is cutting your … (2 comments)

real estate flyer templates: How important is your photo on your flyer or brochures? - 03/02/12 01:54 AM
Is it really that important?
The question came to mind when I noticed a few homes for sale down the street didn't have an agent photo in the listing flyer. It was simply a name and contact info.
Maybe the agents were new and didn't have a good photo? It'd be hard to argue that it's to prevent prejudice or a bias since the neighborhood is pretty diverse (I'm in So.California -- talk about melting pot).
I can somewhat understand Commercial Real Estate agents not having photos, but I just thought it was on for a residental agent not to have … (3 comments)

real estate flyer templates: Social Media... What A Waste - 02/03/12 11:03 AM
One of the biggest grippes I’ve been hearing at the local NAR meets is what a waste Facebook, Twitter, and all the other Social Media efforts are in capturing leads and additional business.
Coincidentally, I somewhat agree!
Facebook, Twitter, and ActiveRain (let’s just lump them as Social Media or SM) are virtual extensions of YOU.
Think of your personal/business website and how much effort you put into it to represent you, your style of business, and you level of professionalism and service you provide to your clients. When people visit your site, they get a sense of who you … (1 comments)

real estate flyer templates: How is the GOP and Presidential Elections Affecting Your Business? - 01/11/12 06:49 AM
Lunch discussion yesterday after the broker meeting turned into a 2 hour discussion about who's the best Republican candidate to out-seat Obama and, if so, how's that going to positively/negatively affect the housing and financing industries. I don't know what it's like in other parts of the nation but from what I hear from colleagues the entire GOP campaign/debate and build-up for this years election is making buyer/seller a bit nervous.
Markets, especially financial, don't do too well with uncertainty. This is what makes the stock market so volatile and homeowners so apprehensive to list their homes or buy new ones. … (0 comments)
