In many instances, the home will receive its highest and best offers during this time. Studies show that the longer a property stays on the market, the less the seller will net upon the sale. rhonda dolan: Eight Insider Tips For Home Buyers - 04/28/07 12:17 PM
1. Be a Pre-Approved Buyer: A pre-approved buyer always has the advantage in an offer situation. Pre-approval means that you have actually been approved for the purchase by a lender, which gives you the edge in home purchase negotiating.
2. Beat The Competition to The Best New Listings: The search process can be both fun and trying. You will notice that some homes sell very fast and others hang around for long periods of time. The best homes at the … (0 comments)

rhonda dolan: Do you have a clue about the C.L.U.E. report? - 04/23/07 07:24 AM

Insurance companies feed information about property loss claims, perhaps even inquiries about coverage, into a central database. If you file a claim for loss against your homeowner policy, the insurance company adds this information to the national database. The CLUE database is maintained by an information vendor, not another insurance company. … (0 comments)

rhonda dolan: Montgomery County, MD Proposed 2008 Budget - Record $$ - 03/14/07 05:49 AM
But is everyone happy. No, of course not.  The school system, for example, while getting a heafty increase, fell $20 million short of its $137 million increase request.  But that doesn't mean some of the money & services for school children isn't in there. One needs to look in the entire budget to see that programs to serve our children are covered in other parts of the budget such as health and human services.  It is important to note that Leggett's plan proposes sending $14,370 per student in the county, among the highest in the region.
