The annual lighting of the Crofton, MD Christmas Tree will take place on December 2, 2013 at 7 PM. The event is sponsored by the Crofton Country Club and Crofton Civic Association. As always, the location is the Crofton Country Club, located at 1691 Crofton Pkwy., Crofton, MD 21114. Parents and children alike will gather in front of the Country Club waiting for Santa to arrive on a fire truck. Entertainment will also be provided by the Elizabeth Ann Seton children's choir, and a local band, Pocket Change. christmas tree lighting: Annapolis MD - The Lighting of the City Christmas Tree

It was clear and crisp tonight at the City Dock tonight in Annapolis, MD where the City Christmas Tree was lit at 6 PM. Hundreds of residents and visitors spent time watching entertainment, drinking hot chocolate, singing Christmas songs and shopping.The Mayor gave a short speech and the lighting ceremony began. A slight glitch when only the bottom half lit, but then the whole tree was lit to applause from everyone. Santa arrived with a contingent of Police, and the kids had a great time.
