maui homes: Same Price Maui Homes---Brand New or 30 Years Old? - 01/24/18 10:59 PM
Given Maui's median home sale price of close to $700,000, which would most prefer, a brand new one with new home warranty or one about 30 years old sure to need some work before long.  It's a real question because Maui's median residential sale price for all of 2017 is reported at $695,000.  Don't even ask about the AVERAGE sale price which was well over $1 million!  The average age of Maui homes sold in 2017 was 29.2 years.  
In contrast, there are brand new Maui communities being constructed with homes priced under $700,000.  One such community is Ke'alohilani in the planned community of Kehalani … (0 comments)

maui homes: Maui Real Estate Update - 02/21/16 06:36 AM
The year 2015 is now well behind us as we rapidly move forward in 2016.  Accordingly, 2015 data can now be added to the chart that I maintain for Maui home & condo sales activity.  As a stacked chart, a change in a price group shows as a taller band.  As can be seen, the biggest change in 2015 is the sales increase in the price group of $1/2 million to $3/4 million.  The 2015 Maui median sale price for residential homes is in this band.

Home, condo, and vacant land prices are up throughout our fantasy island of Maui with homes & land seeing double-digit increases and condos not far behind.  Price increases in the high-priced luxury market areas are stunning as the charts below illustrate (pictures are far better than words).

Ma'alaea is home to Ma'alaea Harbor, the Maui Aquarium, Maui shops & restaurants, and a band of oceanfront condos offering stunning ocean views.
