Ornaments. I love them. Sometimes they are just too beautiful to hang on the tree. Some different ways to display them include hanging them in front of a window from the drapery rod. You can place several of them in a glass bowl or vase. Here are a few, simply hung from a chandelier.

One of the things overlooked when getting your home ready to sell is your address. Well, not your address but your house numbers. Single family homes should have large, easy to read numbers near the front door. Consider whether the numbers can be seen at night, additional lighting might be needed. If there is a post mailbox at the street, it should have the house number as well. If you live in a condominium, your unit number should be easy to locate, and not hidden behind some decorations. Sellers, before you put your home on the market, don't overlook the small details. Here is one that gets overlooked a lot. Take a look at your bathroom extractor fans and give the grill a once over. You don't want buyers to be looking at something like this.

No, I didn't get up at 3am to wait in line at Best Buy. I spent the afternoon showing houses to one of my clients. He settled on the sale of his home last week and has put his things in storage and is staying with friends until he buys that next home. A bit unconventional, but he will be able to move forward quickly once he identifies the home he wants. Unlike the typical Black Friday buyer, he didn't throw a house in his cart and head for the checkout lane, hoping it is the right one. … (5 comments)
