This week, the Institute for Business and Home Safety introduced its 40 million dollar disaster simulation lab in South Carolina. The Institute which is funded by the insurance industry developed the simulator to test current home building materials and practices, during times of catastrophic weather. The lab uses 105 very large fans and a 3/4 million gallon watertank to simulate tornadic and rain weather. If you are interested in the science of nature and real estate, watch this video.
