This week, the Institute for Business and Home Safety introduced its 40 million dollar disaster simulation lab in South Carolina. The Institute which is funded by the insurance industry developed the simulator to test current home building materials and practices, during times of catastrophic weather. The lab uses 105 very large fans and a 3/4 million gallon watertank to simulate tornadic and rain weather. If you are interested in the science of nature and real estate, watch this video. Jen, Travis and I returned from Santa Fe on Friday for a well deserved family vacation. We absolutely love the natural beauty of New Mexico as well as the hospitality which, coming from Chicago, is truly a breath of fresh air. Moving to St Charles, IL- Restaurants Moving from Chicago to St Charles was a leap of faith…at least from a culinary standpoint. My wife and I (and now our son) are foodies. We love food. We love ALL food. Those who have lived in or visited a world class culinary city such as Chicago would understand.
