a new day: A New Day - Go for it - 04/18/13 09:15 PM

“You have to learn the rules of the game. And then you have to play better than anyone else. “
Albert Einstein
These days more and more doctors, psychologists, researchers and many others are beginning to realize that what we achieve and become in life has as much, or more, to do with our beliefs as anything else.
What do you believe is possible for you in your life - in your job, with your family and friends, financially, intellectually, emotionally? This is a very important question, so think about your answer for a moment.

What possibilities are you … (7 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Do what you love - 04/14/13 09:22 PM

Sometimes the littlest thing in life changes something forever and there will be times when you wish you can go back to how things used to be but you just can't because things have changed so much.
"All things have their season, and in their times all things pass under heaven."

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Continue to learn. Appreciate your friends. Do what you love.

In the end only if you must regret anything then regret the chances you didn’t … (3 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Find something to like in everyone - 04/13/13 10:28 PM

As I so often do on a Sunday morning this morning I watched Joel Osteen’s program today.  As always I learned something of value.
This morning I learned how important it is to look for something that you like in everyone you meet and not focus on that which you do not like.  Sometimes this is not easy but moving forward I will make a concentrated effort to do as Joel suggested because I know that doing so will bring me joy and that once I share what I like with that person it will bring them joy.

a new day: A New Day - You cannot plant apple seeds and expect to grow corn - 04/12/13 08:09 PM

As we see the principle of sowing and reaping through out the Bible we also witness it in our daily lives. What you sow you will reap. You cannot plant apple seeds and expect to grow corn. God tells us that if we plant destructive and negative seeds, destruction and negativity will come to us. We plant seeds with our thoughts our words and our actions. Every day we are planting seed for our future. If you want a life of blessing and favor, sow blessing and favor into the lives of people around you. What you sow you will … (7 comments)

a new day: A New Day - As you sow so shall you reap - 04/11/13 09:16 PM
A while back I posted "The Sweet Old Lady Story"  and yesterday Rich received the most beautiful thankyou note from her... I share it as further proof that  we do sow what we reap :

Galatians 6:7-8: "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting."

Have a Happy Day!

a new day: A New Day - Be all that you dare to be - 04/10/13 10:31 PM

We are all we need to be, right now. We can trust that.
A sense of vision, seeing who we can dare to be and what we can dare to accomplish, is possible if we focus intently on the present and always the present.
That past that we hang onto stands in our way. Many of us needlessly spend much of our lives fighting a poor self-image. But we can overcome that. We can choose to believe we are capable and competent. We can be spontaneous, and our vision of all that life can offer will change - will … (8 comments)

a new day: A New Day - When things are well don't forget me - 04/09/13 09:11 PM
"When things are not well remember me. When things are well don't forget me"
If you want to know what this is all about check this out - The Body Will Not Go Where The Mind Has Not Been -
I just read it and it's got some good stuff in it...I might just Bookmark it...
Why do I write these New Day posts???  Because they help me to get my day off to a good start. Each New Day I begin by reading the Bible and then I write a very personal letter to our Father (I don't … (5 comments)

a new day: A New Day - This will not be a feature and that's okay with me - 04/08/13 10:10 PM
I considered myself fortunate to have watched Dr. Ben Carson along with a panel of Black Conservatives on the Shawn Hannity Show last night. In my opinion the format was totally awesome because it provided a very clear view of just how Liberals are enslaving the Blacks. You may not agree with their point of view or me for applauding their willingness to speak up and speak out... however the facts speak for themselves...
No race has been hurt more by the Obama administration than the Black race... 73% of the black children in the US are born out of wedlock...  … (7 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Take The Easy Path - 04/07/13 09:10 PM

The easy path is good thoughts, good words, and good deeds.
Walk, talk, think, and breathe appreciation and gratitude.
Write down all the great things about everyone you know. Make a huge list of all the wonderful things about you. Compliment people wherever you go. Praise every single thing you see.
Be a ray of sunshine to everyone you meet, and make their day better for having seen you. Say "Thank you" at every turn.
Our natural state of being is joy, and it takes so much energy to think negative thoughts, to … (7 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Learn To Laugh - 04/07/13 08:42 PM

Learn to laugh at yourself more freely.
Laughter lightens your load and lifts your spirit into heavenly places.
Just as parents delight in the laughter of their children so must our Heavenly Father delight in hearing the laughter of his children.
This New Day is a gift and I plan to trust Our Father enough to enjoy this New Day that he has given me with a Cheerful Heart.... hoping you will join me....
A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones. Proverbs 17:22
Happy Day...

a new day: A New Day - Happy Easter - 03/30/13 10:03 PM

Happy Easter
I stumbled over this quote this morning and I must say I love it... to me it says it all.
Easter says you can put truth in a grave, but it won't stay. Clarence. W. Hall
He is Risen! Happy Easter! God Bless Everyone! As for me I accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior so this is a very glorious day for me and my family who also believe, but regardless of your beliefs I wish you a Beautiful Day and may the peace and joy that only God can bring be with you all … (9 comments)

a new day: A New Day - What are your expectations for this New Day - 03/29/13 10:33 PM

I've been a long time fan of Deepak Chopra and last night he was on Shawn Hannity's show talking about his new book "Super Brain".  I immediately went to Amazon and ordered it and spent till the wee hours of the morning reading it.
I highly recommend this book!!! You don't have to end up with decreased memory as you age or God forbid dementia or Alzheimer's.
I'll leave you a few tidbits to see if I can peek your interest...
"You are asking very little of your brain when you stop asking it to perfect new skills … (0 comments)

If you're not happy with the conditions of your world then This New Day may be a perfect day to change your world and all you have to do is change the way you feel inside. How easy is that?
Remember... Worry attracts more worry. Anxiety attracts more anxiety. Unhappiness attracts more unhappiness. Dissatisfaction attracts more dissatisfaction
Remember... Joy attracts more joy. Happiness attracts more happiness. Peace attracts more peace. Gratitude attracts more gratitude. Kindness attracts more kindness. AND whatever you do never forget that:
LOVE ATTRACTS MORE LOVE.
Here's to a perfect New Day!

Be grateful.

a new day: A New Day - Feel The Joy - 03/21/13 09:21 PM

As I watch my two year old Grandson "Jack" enjoy his life I can not help but notice how joyful he is.  In fact I call him a little "Joy Bug". It is impossible to be around Jack without feeling a sense of joy.
What can we learn from the little children?  We can learn that our natural state of being is joy, and it takes so much energy to think negative thoughts, to speak negative words, and to feel miserable.
We can learn to feel the joy of good thoughts, good words, and good deeds.

a new day: A New Day - This too shall pass - 03/18/13 10:07 PM

This too shall pass! This statement applies to everything!
No matter what we are doing, or what we are experiencing I think it always a good idea to remind ourselves that "This too shall pass" for in doing so we make the difficult stuff easier to go through and the wonderful stuff even more wonderful.
When things are not going so great...ease the burden by saying these four words to yourself:
"This too shall pass"
When things are going superb and wonderful... enjoy every second reminding yourself that:
"This too shall pass"

Don't Hurry Don't Worry.

a new day: A New Day - The body will not go where the mind has not been - 03/16/13 08:54 PM
A New Day - Our battle is never with flesh and blood... it is always with our mind... I have battled with Systemic Lupus for over 40 years. In many ways Lupus has been a wonderful gift in that it has taught me the power that my mind has over my body. For sure I know that...  "The body will not go where the mind has not been."
The past few weeks my body (notice I don't say I) has been under attack.... I am fine... a little stressed a little frightened but moving in the right direction and thanks to … (5 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Do You Know Him - 03/15/13 09:04 PM
A few day ago I posted A New Day - Seek & Ye Shall Find... unfortunately I used a font that got crazy and few were able to read it. I was upset by this because I was sharing my reading experience of a very small book written by an Active Rain member Richie Alan Naggar .

"The Pearl of Pearls GOD - I AM - DO YOU KNOW HIM?"

On page (1) you will find:  "Earth is a Calling Card" - I am sitting in a chair inside a room in a house on a block in a … (7 comments)

For quite a while I have been Subscribed to Richie Alan Naggar ... I enjoy reading his posts... Never quite sure what I'm going to find but always find that whatever he writes worth my time and sometimes he writes real long stuff...
At any rate I have noticed that he always writes about these Pearls... These are books that he has written... Recently I saw a new one "The Pearl of Pearls GOD - I AM - DO YOU KNOW HIM?"  ..... I told you he is wordy... Not sure why I bought this book, I think it had … (10 comments)

a new day: A New Day - Why you should take Vitmain B1 - 03/10/13 10:01 PM

Friends are like balloons; once you let them go, you might not get them back.
Sometimes we get so busy with our own lives and problems that we may not even notice that we've let a wonderful friend fly away.
Sometimes we are socaught up in  who's right and who's wrong that we  forget what's right and wrong.
Sometimes we  just don't realize what real friendship means until it is too late.
So love the people who treat you right and forget about the ones who don't.
PS..    You should take vitamin B1 … (6 comments)
