I first visited Cobb Island in 1990 when I was invited to a family picnic where I met all of my future in-laws. My wife's family has had a summer home on the Potomac River since 1975. Cobb Island is a community that is made up of mostly single family homes and cottages. The residential population is split between full-time and part time residents. I always refer to Cobb Island as the "land that time forgot". It is quiet and peaceful, you can let your kids ride their bikes and not have to worry about traffic and riff raff.
