corpus christi: Dessert and Diet - 02/08/17 07:01 PM
When you are on a diet, it is best to skip dessert.  It  just makes sense to let the sweets pass by and try not to think about them.  Salads are great and I love my vegetables.  Add a little piece of lean meat, chicken or fish and I'm good most of the time.
However, there are times when you just want that sweet taste covering your taste buds.  No matter what you do, that desire will not go away.  Chew some gum.  Eat a stalk of celery like I did last night.  Go brush your teeth an extra time.  Enjoy that … (16 comments)

corpus christi: Pre-approval is not Loan Approval - 02/06/17 03:32 PM
Pre-approval means more than a good credit score and pre-approval is not loan approval.
There are many factors involved with the approval of a loan.  Many people think if they have good credit, they automaically will be approved for a loan.  This is simply not true!
Income and the ability to pay back the loan is the most important aspect of getting a loan.  This aspect will take into account many things including length of time on the job, any anticipated changes in lifestyle, current debts and the ratio between how much you must pay out each month and what you will have … (10 comments)

corpus christi: I Love this Home because of the Way it makes me Feel - 02/05/17 10:11 AM
What is the most important amenity a home must have for you?
I was thinking about this question and putting myself in the place of home buyers I work with today.  I realized it could be more than just the number of bedrooms, baths, kitchen counters, tiled showers, ceilings, light fixtures, garage spaces and even price.  A home is a dream coming true.  There are expectations in each purchase.
Yes, sometimes during job relocations and the like, decisions have to be made quickly and the basics are what really matter.  Other times however, a home purchase is a well thought and planned for … (5 comments)

corpus christi: It's Hot in Texas! - 06/24/16 03:47 AM
It's Hot in Texas in the Summertime!  And locals enjoy the weather.
It is when school is out and we can go to the beach.  We can go fishing.  We can surf and parasail or spend some cool afternoons in the malls or movie theaters.  Corpus Christi and Padre Island offer a lot of amenities and things to do.
(The housing market in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend area is also HOT!  If you want to buy, call a professional like me.  You may be dealing with multiple offers and if not, you will need to move quickly to … (4 comments)

corpus christi: RE/MAX I'm Home! - 06/04/16 09:18 AM
It was not that long ago, I moved to the Texas Coastal Bend and joined the Corpus Christi Association of Realtors(R).  After owning my own agency in Kerrville, TX for quite some time, I decided I needed to go to the beach.  I love salt water fishing and the beach has always been a big draw for my free time.  So, I made the move.

Open my own agency again or work for … (10 comments)

corpus christi: Keller Williams Red Day in Corpus Christi - 05/15/16 06:50 AM
Every year Keller Williams agents set aside a day "RED DAY" for community improvement.  This year we took time to clean up the beach at the National Seashore on Padre Island.  Agents from all our offices were involved in various community projects.  My office chose a great way to help.  Not only did we clean up a large portion of the beach, we had fun doing it!
Gold Financial, Farmer's Insurance, Bay Area Title are just some of the sponsors that provided food, water, and support in our efforts to make a difference in our community.  We collected a lot of … (4 comments)

corpus christi: Things to do in Corpus Christi - 02/15/15 05:17 AM

I could sit here in downtown Corpus Christi for hours and watch the ships come in and out, watch the people walk by, watch the birds dive down for a small fish, watch, watch, watch.  Just watching the world go by or joining in.  There are a many beachfront bars and restaurants nearby.  Or maybe walk down to the museum of science and history or go to one of the art galleries.  Wait, there is the institute of Hispanic Culture and one for the Asian Culture too just down the street.  Maybe, the annual Home and Garden show at … (13 comments)
