flowers and plants: Summertime Flowers - 08/07/19 07:22 AM
Just wanted to share a few of my Summertime Flowers!
This is my new rose I planted this year.  It's one of the first blooms.

I hope I can keep it alive during the winter.  I will cut it back and cover it with sod.  Hopefully, next year it will be back.

These are long stemmed roses and such a pretty dark red color.

I also planted this beautiful pink rose this year.   This bush if full of blooms.
I love the delicate layers of petals.  The bees love these too.  All the flowers draw butterflies, birds, hummers, bees and dragon flies.

This peach colored one has a hot pink … (11 comments)

The sheer beauty of flowers varies so much.  Even the same colors have different hues like these two purple flowers.  My husband doesn't get as excited as I do … (6 comments)

I love all kinds of fowers and plants but in December,
it is always thrilling to watch the Christmas Cactus bloom.
I usually always have at least one Christmas Cactus in my house.  These plants are so easy to take care of and they produce an abundance of blooms every Christmas.  Sometimes, they even bloom around Easter.  You do not need to water them very often, transplant only every two to three years, fertilize only occasionally and they are always beautiful.  Transplanting a few leaves to make more plants is easy.
Over the years, I have had various colors.  They come in red, purple, … (6 comments)
