texas hill country real estate: The New York Times say "Head for the Hill Country" - 06/07/08 05:00 AM

I've been telling people this area is "Paradise" for a long time now.              Earlier this week the New York Times named the Texas Hill Country as the No. 1 summer destination in the United States.
"The Texas Hill Country, west of Austin and north of San Antonio, might be the next best thing to crossing the Atlantic," the article said.  "The region is lush, colorful and, unlike much of the pancake-flat state, dotted with beautiful green hills that are evocative of Tuscany or the south of France."
With gas prices soaring, many Texans are discovering the beautiful Texas Hill … (28 comments)

texas hill country real estate: A "Must Do" Summer treat - 05/26/08 03:12 PM
One of the finest places to visit while enjoying the beautiful Texas Hill Country this summer is the Point Theatre.  The Hill Country Arts Foundation was established in 1958.  The Point Theatre sits on the banks of the Guadalupe River just off Highway 39 in Ingram, Texas, a few miles west of Kerrville.   www.hcaf.com
The outdoor setting is magical when the sun goes down and the moon shines and the stars twinkle.  The performers are local and gifted actors and singers.  There is always a variety of shows during the summer but I've found them all to be wonderful.

texas hill country real estate: Learn something new every day! - 05/12/08 03:19 PM
You can learn something new every day!  I usually do and that is what makes life interesting and fun. Today I learned a little tidbit that I'm sure will make my life a little easier and I wanted to share it with you.

Another great afternoon, another great AR gathering!   Only 3 of us but, oh well!  It could not have been any nicer.  We had a blast!  I will save some of it for Judi to write about.  Hopefully, she won't tell everything we did!!:)
My good friend and real estate partner Cheri Lynn Venditti joined us and we had some wonderful discussions about real estate and Active Rain.  After lunch, we had a photo shoot in the restaurant.  Everyone watching but not minding.  We did not notice, we were having too much fun.
Next we took Judi to the Pomarosa RV Park.  That … (36 comments)

texas hill country real estate: 33 acres priced right - 12/20/07 01:37 PM

Rolling hills, live oak trees, peace and quiet.  Perfect homesite on 33 acres between Kerrville and Fredericksburg in Harper school district.

When I was there today, a herd of blackbuck antelope went hopping across the field and over the hill.  It was a great site to see.  The sun was warm and the tall grass glistened as the wind blew it gently.  I could hear the cows mooing in the background.  They wanted someone to notice them as they all lined up along the fence row.
It's such a pretty place with several good spots to put a nice home.   The well is already … (2 comments)
