How about searching for people on twitter that are talking about your city, or buying a home.
Get creative, these are direct leads that you can engage with directly.

Always a fan of getting more mileage out of your work, I liked this site that gives you a simple interface to bookmark a site or page onto MANY different social bookmarking sites.

There's a nice feature that even lets you choose only the ones that don't have "no follow" tags.
I like to grab them all, but that's me.

This is one of those little free tools that can make your life much easier.
It`s a plugin for firefox that let`s you see all sorts of valuable data in your google search.
So instead of simply getting the results of your search, you also get all sorts of extra data on your search. Things like: Alexa page rank, number of backlinks, search ranking on various other engines (MSN, Yahoo, etc...)

Do you know what Widgets are?  They're those little things that you put in your side bar.  You may have seen them with news feeds, or "rate this" type content.
They're handy ways to syndicate your content to other sites.  Which of course creates link backs to your site, which of course raises your page rank, which in tern makes it a good SEO practice to get some widgets out there.
