The Naples Community Orchestra (NCO) will host the final performance of its 30th season on Saturday, April 22, 3:00 p.m. at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Drive in Naples. A reception will follow the concert 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. The orchestra will be conducted by Alvin Ho, artistic director at NCO and who also serves as assistant conductor with the Naples Philharmonic. The program will feature Ludwig van Beethoven’s Coriolan Overture and music from Johannes Brahms. In addition, the orchestra will perform Piotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s Variations on a Rococo Theme with renowned cellist Adam Satinsky.

Naples Community Orchestra will host its 30th season opener on Saturday, January 21, 3:00 p.m. at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Drive in Naples.
The concert will feature the debut of Alvin Ho, the new artistic director at NCO and who also serves as assistant conductor with the Naples Philharmonic.
The program will feature music from Mozart. In addition, the orchestra will perform a piece by Ari Fisher reflecting the theme of hope, poignancy and recovery.

The concert will feature Naples’ own acclaimed pianist, Jodie DeSalvo who will not only be performing but also conducting the orchestra for the first time. In addition, critically acclaimed Broadway star tenor soloist Jonathan Zeng will perform. Two world renowned performers headline the next Naples Community Orchestra performance on Saturday, March 5, 3:00 p.m. at Moorings Presbyterian Church, 791 Harbour Drive in Naples. The concert will feature Radu Paponiu as guest conductor along with Naples’ own Alexandra Carlson, an award winning piano soloist. Paponiu is Naples Philharmonic associate conductor. All volunteers receive two complimentary tickets to each concert and get to experience behind the scenes operations of the organization. Volunteers are needed in the following areas:

Naples Community Orchestra (NCO) has been awarded two grants as well as a corporate sponsorship. First, the Community Foundation of Collier County (CCFC) will provide the NCO board training in two areas; best board practices and strategic planning. Second, a grant from the Martin and Gustel Morton Foundation, New London, NH is intended to support student education. NCO will use the grant to underwrite the appearance of violinist Isabelle Durenberger, a student at the New England Conservatory of Music. Also, PNC Bank has become a corporate sponsor of NCO that will be used to underwrite the Orchestra Concertmaster Chair.

The concert will feature Stella Chen, an award winning American violinist and international star. Chen earned the first place prize in the most prestigious violin competition in the world, the International Queen Elisabeth Competition in Belgium 2019.
