On the 28th of April, Autrey Mill Nature Preserve will be hosting its annual Wild Weekend for all those from Doublegate properties and the surrounding area! This popular family event will begin at 10 a.m. and last until 2 p.m. Guests will be encouraged to “take a walk on the wild side” as they enjoy a variety of educational entertainment from games to nature crafts. This property has had a varied and fascinating history. The Cherokee and Creek Indians were the first inhabitants. After the Indians were forced from the area, the land was sold for farming.
