bellevue restaurant review: Restaurant Review: Dough Zone - 04/09/15 02:30 AM
It’s been a while since our last restaurant review, but that doesn’t mean we’ve stopped eating out! Some new restaurants have popped up in our neighborhood and we plan to try them all. Today’s review for our Bellevue real estate students is for Dough Zone, a Chinese dumpling house that opened up the street a few months ago. True to its name, Dough Zone specializes in dough-based dumplings, buns, and noodles, ranging from the familiar—boiled won tons and pan-fried pot stickers—to the exotic—lamb sauce noodle soup and pork feet noodle soup.
On our first visit, we were particularly excited to try the … (0 comments)

bellevue restaurant review: Restaurant Review: Mr. Gyros food truck - 01/20/14 05:59 AM
Here at Rockwell, we take lunchtime very seriously. We also love Mediterranean food and we love food trucks. Imagine our joy when we learned that a food truck from one of our favorite Seattle restaurants, Mr. Gyros, has started popping up regularly on the Microsoft campus, just a few miles from our real estate school in Bellevue. We’ve been big fans of Mr. Gyros (both at their original location in Greenwood as well as the Ballard location that opened a few years back), but now we can get our Mr. Gyros fix here on the Eastside as well.
The food truck … (0 comments)

bellevue restaurant review: Restaurant Review: Oma Bap - 08/07/13 06:37 AM
Today’s restaurant review for our Bellevue real estate students features one of our go-to lunch spots: Oma Bap. This casual Korean eatery opened in 2011 and quickly became an office favorite, even among co-workers who were unfamiliar with Korean food. In fact, Oma Bap offers a great introduction to some traditional Korean dishes. Our favorite item is their version of Korea’s national dish, bi bim bap: a rice bowl topped with a variety of vegetables, egg, and either bulgogi (beef), chicken, spicy pork, or tofu. Add your choice of mild or spicy sauces, mix everything together, and dig in! Bi bim … (0 comments)

bellevue restaurant review: Restaurant Review: Let’s Do Lunch - 07/09/13 11:53 PM
Welcome back to our restaurant review series for our Bellevue real estate students! Today we visited Let’s Do Lunch, located just a few short blocks from our office complex. This unassuming but pleasant café offers a nice variety of tasty, made-to-order hot or cold sandwiches, entrée salads, and homemade soups and desserts. Our favorite sandwiches include the chicken & pesto on ciabatta, roast beef & horseradish cheddar on toasted sourdough, and the grilled ham & provolone panini. Seafood lovers can choose between either mahi mahi or crabcakes on a potato roll, while vegetarians will love the balsamic herb-marinated portobello mushroom sandwich … (0 comments)

bellevue restaurant review: Restaurant Review: Taqueria El Rinconsito - 03/13/12 05:40 AM
Today we're reviewing another quick, inexpensive lunch option for our Bellevue real estate students: Taqueria El Rinconsito. Located in an unassuming strip mall just a few blocks from our office, El Rinconsito is a very casual eatery, complete with blaring music and fast-food restaurant plastic booth seating. But what it lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for in flavor, featuring a large menu of authentic, tasty Mexican fare. Our standby orders include the carne asada (grilled steak) soft tacos and the carnitas (fried pork) burrito, but other favorite dishes include the mulitas (two flat fried corn tortillas stuffed with meat, jack … (2 comments)

Rockwell Institute is a real estate school and publisher since 1974, and we've trained thousands of real estate students in Washington and California. We've learned a lot over the years about getting a real estate license and studying for license exams, and we've often got news about changes in real estate laws and regulations. So we’ll let our writers and instructors share some of their wisdom and pass on the answers to some of our common student questions.
