agent: Why would an experienced Real Estate Agent make such a big mistake? - 07/12/11 06:47 AM
I am at the end of my rope with a Realtor that is the buyers agent on one of my listings.  The transaction is a short sale and it's actually been sailing smoothly granted the market conditions here in Las Vegas.  The buyers being represented by an agent who's license number is a sign of experience so I figured all would go well.  Everything was going well, beside the fact that he calls me "honey" Sweetie" "lovey" etc.  I never addressed his words because I just chose to over look it. Although now, I wish I would have asked him to refrain … (2 comments)

agent: What is considered Business Hours for Real Estate Agents? L@@king for your feedback. - 07/07/11 07:44 AM
Dear Fellow Agents:
I was forced to answer this question to myself the other day when an Agent whom has the buyer on one of my listings commented that I was asking him to do a walk through after business hours, Friday at 5 p.m.,  closing date Monday, July 11, 2011.  It is a short sale listing.
I've been in the Real Estate business for over 10 years full-time here in Las Vegas.  I can't say I've ever considered "business hours" ..
What exactly are business hours in the world of Real Estate Agents?

agent: Sometimes new clients request a referral. Nothing wrong with that.. - 01/18/10 06:45 AM
When most buyers and sellers are out surfing the Internet to find a Realtor or searching for a property the question comes to mind, which rightfully so it should.  They don't know the agent, they might not be familiar with the area, they might think that they don't trust Realtors.  They want referrals.
So, I have been asking my clients to please put together an little statement about how our experience went during their successful process.  All of my clients have been more than happy to put something together.  They actually feel honored.  And as a full-time agent myself, I have … (1 comments)

Just whistle while you workAnd cheerfully together we can tidy up the placeSo hum a merry tuneIt won't take long when there's a song to help you set the pace And as you sweep the roomImagine that the broom is someone that you loveAnd soon you'll find you're dancing to the tune (Spoken: Oh, no, no, no, no! Put them in the tub)When hearts are high the time will fly so whistle while you work Just whistle while you workPut on that grin and start right in to whistle loud and longJust hum a merry tuneJust do your best and take … (0 comments)

agent: What's going to happen with the REO market in Las Vegas, NV? - 09/24/09 03:13 AM
I don't have an REO account with any of the banks...I feel fortunate enough that I have short-sales and regular re-sale listings.  I do know that REO agents are hurting for listings. Most of them are starting to complain they don't have any listings and if they do their all in contract and arent' receiving REO's like they used to.
Our Las Vegas inventory is mostly short-sales which Thank GOODNESS the selling banks are starting to cooperate more with a short-sale.  I'm sure the banks are getting some kind of insurance that protects them for losing too much money on allowing a short-sale. … (1 comments)

agent: Have a good one! Thanks in advance! Hear from you soon! Thank you! Have a nice day...... - 09/22/09 08:39 AM
How many times a day do we say these words?  How about e mail them?  Or are you someone that has your thank you signature already programmed into your cell and e mail?
Today I made myself really pay attention to what's going on instead of just allowing myself to go through the motions of the day.  You know really pay attention to how people sound when they answer their phones, how they close the conversation.  How they respond to your requests.
Since the Real Estate market is in a position that it hasn't been in for a very long time, … (1 comments)

agent: Thank goodness I had lots of work to do today or I'd be one peeved agent, not really, just kidding... - 09/08/09 12:19 PM
I have spent most of my day, the day after the holiday Labor day trying to Fax things to people/banks only to find that all day long the lines are busy.
I've been calling/e mailing agents trying to find out where the executed contracts are so that my buyers can open escrow and get our due diligence started.
I have done my part of properly representing my clients, doing what was required of me, only to continue checking my e mails to see if the REALTOR has even OPENED the e mail I sent to them let alone read it....  What's … (0 comments)

agent: How much time can one RE/MAX Las Vegas agent sit on her hinnie? - 06/30/09 06:46 AM
Ok, I'm starting to get a little concerned about my Desirae.  I'm used to sitting at the desk searching for properties, writing contracts, driving clients around and around and around, but all this sitting is getting on my nerves.  I don't necessarily enjoy looking in the mirror but I'm thinking things are looking a little different back there.
It's funny the other day I spoke with an agent whom I used to work with a year ago at RE/MAX ...One of those agents that you a wonderful relationship with because you both share the same ethics of Real Estate. One of the … (0 comments)
