Showing Declined.  Why?
 
Scheduling an appointment to show a house can quite frequently be done online.  This is relatively quick and convenient.
 
However, some times the appointment is declined.  Unfortunately, the process of declining the appointment is just as impersonal as the process of making the appointment.  Notification of the declination to show is given via text, email, or automated voice mail.
 
The problem with the notification is that it usually does not get specific about why the appointment was declined.  For instance, if an appointment is attempted to be made for Monday between 5:00 pm and 6:00 pm and it is declined, the … (3 comments)

"What's With You Guys?"
I quote my client whose house I have listed with this statement: "What's With You Guys?".
By "you guys", he means real estate agents.  He was nice enough to exclude me from this remark, but I don't know, maybe I am as guilty as those whom we believe are the problem.
The problem or the"what's with" is a failure to understand why so frequently his front door is left unlocked after a showing, the lights, many of them, are left on both in and outside the house, a door, or even a window, is left open.

Why Didn't You Leave The Windows Open?
Sometimes when I make an appointment to show a property, I am instructed to lock all doors when I leave the house.  This almost goes without saying, but apparently the thought of locking the doors has not occurred to some agents.
I stopped by one of my listings and this is what I found:
