I recently posted about a Special Car Week Reception at Alain Pinel Realtors, August 16th 2016, 4-7pm. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Monterey County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. Why is it so important to support the SPCA right now? This was reported from their Facebook page regarding the effects of the Soberanes Fire, the largest fire burning in California at the moment: The SPCA took in 226 pets displaced by the Soberanes fire, including: 56 cats, 42 dogs, 86 chickens, 6 goats, 6 ducks, 5 turkeys, 5 horses, 4 guinea hens, 3 donkeys, 3 parakeets, 3 fish, 1 parrot, 1 rabbit, 1 lamb, 1 turtle, 1 tarantula, 1 king snake, and 1 leopard gecko.
