I was showing houses in Galveston today, and just had to stop to take a picture of the gorgeous brown-eyed Susans that blanket the historic Galveston cemetery every spring. They are always pretty, but this year the flowers are bigger and more dense than I have ever seen them. It's gorgeous! The Broadway Cemetery Historic District is actually composed of seven separate cemeteries, grouped together in six city blocks in the center of Galveston. The Lone Star Flight Museum in Galveston is a great place to soak up some aviation history and spend a few hours while visiting the Gulf Coast. It houses a fine collection of restored aircraft and aviation exhibits. You will be amazed when you see the WWII Fighters and bombers, as well as a very interesting Continental Airlines passenger plane from the early days of the airline's history.
