I love the tradition of our community Homer Davenport Festival. I was horrified when I heard the festival might not happen this year. (Seriously! I was horrified.) It has been saved and has received some revamping and renewed excitement. I'm so proud of our community for pulling together and for the huge number of volunteer hours it takes to continue the tradition.

Silverton is bustling with preparations for one of our biggest festivals of the year. I'm enjoying watching out of town guests strolling by my window today. I'm fortunate to have a view of one of our town's many murals right outside my AmeriTitle office windows. We're getting the spring tease weather in Silverton so far this month. We're vacillating between rain, snow, hail, sun, clouds, more hail, and more peeks of sunshine. It's shining at the moment so I'm dreaming of all the fun Summer events and festivals that people are working hard to plan right now. Silverton Art Association Ann Altman’s After School Art Program for children ages 5-12 is running through the end of the June on Thursday afternoons from 4-6pm. The students love this class where they experiment with different materials to complete a project each week on a different element of art.
