Dolores and I always enjoy visiting Brookside Gardens, located in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland.  The location in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC attracts visitors from around the world.  You do not need to be able to speak the language to enjoy beautiful gardens and flowers.
We have attended several of the Dahlia Shows at Brookside Gardens and it is always interesting to see the great variety of available dahlias. The annual Dahlia Show at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA is scheduled for Saturday September 10, 2016 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. and on Sunday, September 11, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you enjoy dahlias, this is an event that you should attend.

The 2014 Dahlia Show, sponsored by the Greater Philadelphia Dahlia Society, will be held this weekend, Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2014 in the Conservatory at Longwood Gardens. Admission to the show is included with the general admission to Longwood Gardens. Longwood Gardens is one of our favorite travel destinations. Be sure to have your cameras in hand.
The Dahlia Show will be open to the public from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

We have a beautiful day in Maryland. Dolores and I attended the Dahila Show, sponsored by the National Capital Dahlia Society, at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, Maryland. After photographing the beautiful dahlias, we enjoyed a walk through the gardens.
Brookside Gardens is one of the very special places to visit and enjoy in Montgomery County. The location is in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC and visitors are from around the world. You do not need to be able to speak English to enjoy the beauty of the gardens and the flowers.

We always enjoy photographing the dahlias at the Dahlia Show at Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. 
Pick up up your camera and take a photowalk if you need to get away from the pressures of business or personal issues.  It is easy to set aside the problems of the moment when you focus your camera on a beautiful flower.

Brookside Gardens, in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland, is one of our favorite paces to visit to photograph flowers and to take walks through the beautiful gardens.  Brookside Gardens is also a favorite location for garden weddings.
Dolores and I try to attend the flower shows that are held in the Visitor Center and the Conservatory.  Recently, I was able to photograph the Dahlia Show in the Visitor Center.

dahlia show: Quick Baked Apples Recipe 11/27/11 - 11/26/11 11:03 PM
Quick Baked Apples Recipe

Suggested by Dolores Kelley
Core apples.  Fuji , Braburn, Honey Crisp, or Johnagold are good to use. Try with your favorite apples.
Place in baking bowls.  Put some butter and brown sugar where the core was and  sprinkle with Cinnamon.
Add dried cranberries or raisins around the apples and fill bowl about 1/3 full with fruit juice, wine or soda (your choice).  Diet Coke works.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 30 to 45 minutes.  Some apples cook quicker than others. Test with fork to see if soft.

Dolores and I always enjoy the Dahlia Show at Brookside Gardens in the Wheaton Regional Park in Montgomery County, Maryland.  We are always impressed the beautiful dahlias that are displayed in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes.
Dahlias are blooming in our garden and they are beautiful.  It is a good time to capture the photographs that we will enjoy during the winter months.

This is the second Pink Dahlia post for this afternoon.  Dahlias come on many shapes and sizes and it is quite an experience to see the absolutely beautiful blooms at The Dahlia Show at Brookside Gardens in Montgomery County, Maryland.
Visitors to Maryland should allow time to visit Brookside Gardens.  Over 400,000 people enjoy the gardens each year.  Admission is free.

Dolores and I attended the 2011 Dahlia Show, sponsored by the National Capital Dahlia Society, at Brookside Gardens over the weekend. It was an outstanding show and the dahlias were beautiful.  You do not need to be a gardener or flower expert to enjoy these shows.  Take your camera and just enjoy the beauty as you capture the light, colors and shapes with photographs.  Brookside Gardens, located in the Wheaton Regional Park, is a wonderful resource in Montgomery County.  Visit the website for the scheduled activities, displays and shows.  www.BrooksideGardens.org

We've enjoyed a break in the winter weather in Maryland. A couple of mild days will really get you thinking about spring and summer flowers. I hope you are planning your garden. I look forward to capturing the changing colors of the seasons in photographs.
