The 1,000+ acres of gardens and the very large Conservatory are decorated for the holidays for A Longwood Christmas at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.   A large tree in front of the Peirce du Pont House is decorated each year as a Wildlife Tree.

The City of Gaithersburg presents The Harmonious Art Group’s 17th Anniversary Exhibition of Chinese Calligraphy and Brush Painting.  The exhibit runs from January 6 to March 4, 2012 at the Activity Center at Bohrer Park, 506 South Frederick Avenue, Gaithersburg, Maryland. Viewing hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.  The public is invited to an Artists’ Reception on Saturday, January 14 from 3 to 4:30 p.m.

A Longwood Christmas, an annual event and exhibit, draws large crowds to the expansive Conservatory at Longwood Gardens.  The flower, plants and trees are wonderful to see and Dolores and I recommend a visit.
With over 1,000 acres of gardens, there are still a few flowers to be seen outside as well.  These photographs were taken when I went to see the Longwood Railway exhibit.

A Longwood Christmas is an annual event at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.  If you enjoy flowers or flower photography, you will want to visit Longwood Gardens during the holidays.
This wreath is made of all natural materials and all herbs.  Those that enjoy cooking, will readily be able to identify the materials.  Those that enjoy making wreaths may good some good ideas from this one.
Longwood Gardens is one of our favorite travel destinations and Dolores and I recommend that you include Longwood Gardens in your travel plans.

Dolores and I spent the day with family. We just returned home after too much to eat and arms full of gifts from close family members. Life is good in Maryland!  I hope you have the opportunity to be with family and friends during this holiday period.

I always enjoy walks through our home community of Kentlands in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Holiday decorations are up and the colors of the season are rapidly changing. We always advise our prospective home buyers to take time to walk through their areas of interest to learn more about the neighborhoods.

We always advise home buyer clients to take walks through the neighborhoods they are considering for their home purchase.  It is a good way to see what is offered in the area and it is a good way to meet neighbors. We live and work in an ideal community in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC.  Gaithersburg is an unusual city in that it is debt free and the city provides high quality services to the residents.

Colonial Williamsburg is one of our favorite travel destinations. It is always fun to explore the buildings and experience the demonstrations and the daily entertainment. Dolores and I recommend the area for your list of vacation spots.  One of the special things about visiting during the holidays is that all of the decorations are on display.
