RE/MAX real estate professional Audrey June-Forshey and a team of very talented RE/MAX women have announced the Mothers Fighting for Others 6th Annual Gift of Education Fundraiser that will be held in Gaithersburg, Maryland on Saturday, November 15, 2014.

City of Gaithersburg residents are eligible for an Arts on the Green Gold Card, entitling them to special benefits including free ticket exchange within a theater production run, tickets held at the box office, e-mailed performance reminders, early notification of special events at the Arts Barn and Mansion, and a frequency reward program good for non-alcoholic concessions.

News Corp to Buy Move Inc.
News Corp, which owns The Wall Street Journal, announced that it plans to acquire Move Inc. in an all cash deal that totals about $950 million. Move runs Realtor.com and Move.com.
Move has claimed that its listings are more up to date and accurate than those of Trulia and Zillow because of its partnership with the National Association of Realtors. This transaction will greatly expand New Corp’s presence in real estate. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

Physicians have been prescribing niacin for over 50 years to improve heart health and to lower cholesterol levels. Many of us who do take this medication every night constantly wish for an alternative because of the unpleasant side effects.
This week, I read a bulletin in the AARP publication that quotes cardiologist Donald Lloyd-Jones at Northwestern University as saying "This is no longer a drug for routine use." Kentlands Summer Fest Fiesta Reminder
The annual Kentlands Summer Fest will take place on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 6 p.m.to 8:30 p.m. This is the biggest community event of the summer and is sure to be a good time! The location is the Kentlands Club House Pool Deck. There is no charge for this event which is sponsored by the Kentlands Citizens Assembly for Kentlands residents.
