Zero Tolerance
The Montgomery County Police Department will be initiating a zero tolerance enforcement campaign focusing on pedestrian violations within the county. The district’s main focus will be in the area of the transit station located at Lakeforest Mall.
There will be other selected locations as well but the main focus at this time is the transit center. The County Police has placed a VMS board advising both drivers and pedestrians to slow down and be cautious.
Violations officers will be looking for could be:
Drivers:
Talking/texting on the cellphone
Speeding
