Our youngest years are also our most impressionable. While specific memories of riding bikes with friends or going to Disney World for the first time may not stay with us forever, the impact those moments had on our childhood last a lifetime.
When you think of Palm Springs and the surrounding area, you may think of tourist attractions such as resorts and theme parks and a likely consistent influx of visitors. However, Palm Springs and the surrounding area have plenty to offer to families looking for a little fun and entertainment in a safe and welcoming environment. things to do: Stay Healthy Living in Palm Springs

Stay Healthy Living in Palm Springs Palm Springs has always been a destination known for its glamorous lifestyle offerings. What was once a weekend getaway for prominent celebrities in the 50’s and 60’s, is now a golf and spa oasis for mostly snowbirds, retirees, and travelers. The entire city, which was built on and around naturally occurring hot springs, quickly gained itself a reputation as a destination for relaxation and wellness. Today, the city offers endless spas, workout facilities, healthy dining options, and outdoor recreation activities for those looking to rejuvenate the mind, body, and soul. But most importantly, Palm Springs offers the (1 comments)
The sunny desert of Palm Springs, California paints the picture for a perfect weekend road trip from neighboring cities. Centrally located near popular California cities like Los Angeles, San Bernardino and San Diego, Palm Springs is just a short drive down the interstate for those looking to visit or relocate there. Before you head in that direction, plan your trip ahead of time to make driving a breeze. Avoid rush hour from 7:00 to 9:00 am and 4:00 to 7:00 pm to be safe, and your trip should be smooth sailing. things to do: Farmers Market in La Quinta, CA

Farmers Market in La Quinta, CA If you are looking for locally grown, fresh, and organic foods, you must attend the certified Farmers Market. I started going to La Quinta's Farmers Market every Sunday morning to purchase all of my vegetables in addition to eggs, chicken, and steak here. The steaks from De-Le Ranch are truly amazing and worth every penny! Today I only buy fresh organic and nonGMO products whenever possible. At the La Quinta's Farmers Market you'll find certified organic produce, herbs, honey, nuts, and cheese, along with fresh cut flowers & plants, fresh baked breads from L’Artisan Bakery, and live music. I have found some truly amazing flavors and organic foods here. (3 comments)

Candy Cane Lane Tonight may be the last night to catch a glimpse of Candy Cane Lane this year but don't worry it will be back again next year, and the next, and the next... The street is a popular one for many locals to visit during the Christmas holidays but for the hundreds of new visitors each year, you'll find all of the holiday light displays at Candy Cane Lane is actually Minervia Road in Cathedral City. Each year the homeowners on Minervia Road, a short street of about 50 homes, decorate their homes to the max as a way to share and enjoy the holiday spirit.

things to do: International Tamale Festival This Weekend
- 12/05/14 03:12 AM
International Tamale Festival This Weekend The annual International Tamale Festival in Indio is not to be missed this weekend! This is the 23rd year for the festival, which takes place every year in December. Recently Food Network-TV included the festival in its top 10 "All-American Food Festivals" in the nation! With more than 125,000 people attending the festival each year, it just keeps getting bigger and better. Each tamale vendor makes anywhere from 2,000 to 5,000 tamales for the weekend. Some flavors are so unique you would never think of it as a tamale. If tamales aren't your thing, there is a lot (4 comments)

Kid Friendly Halloween Events Halloween is one of my favorite times of the year. Along with it comes fall, pumpkins, apple cider, and so much more! This year there are plenty of kid friendly events near Palm Desert, California. Below are a few of my recommendations: Pumpkin Patch & Amusement Park - October 10 and October 31 - 3:30 - 10 p.m. Westfield Mall, Palm Desert, CA This pumpkin patch is perfect for little ones. Nothing scary about it, just good old fashion fun with kiddie rides, a giant slide, fun house, snacks, games & prizes, and of course a pumpkin patch! Located in the parking (6 comments)
